Sunday Football took the trip to Ullapool on the 12th of October
Which consisted of:
180 Minutes of Football
19 Goals Scored
9 Goals Conceded
20 Guys Traveling
7 hours of Traveling
306 Miles Covered on the bus
Unknown amounts of alcohol consumed
The Journey Kicked off at 06:30 in the morning and we returned about 20:30
The lads had witnessed some cracking Views on the journey to Ullapool.
We played 2 games , one against Ness Over 40s and one against Carloway Football Club.
Before Kicking off we had a discussion with both teams and agreed on a no slide tackle rule prior to kick off, this really set the president of a friendly game of football and straight away we got the vibe of this being more than a game of football.
The occasion was not about the result , the focus was on everyone having a good time and raising awareness and funds for the local rotary club who are in desperate need of some funding for some much needed defib equipment.
The Ness game ended 12-2 to Sunday football and the Carloway game ended 7-1 in favour of Carloway, nonetheless the games were all played in great spirit and we all gathered after the game for some refreshments at a local pub and had a good chin wag.
We would like to extend our thanks for the occasions and we look forward to taking a trip up to the Isles next year.
